Turtao is a local-first desktop app. Your posts, media, browser session data, and task logs stay on your Mac unless you choose to publish to a social platform.

What we collect at purchase

• Your email address from Stripe Checkout.
• Stripe payment identifiers needed to issue and support your license.
• A machine identifier you generate locally when activating Turtao.

What stays on your Mac

• Project content, drafts, schedules, screenshots, and logs.
• Browser cookies and credentials inside each platform profile.
• Your activation token after the one-time online activation.

Update checks

When you check for updates, the app sends your activation token and current version to the Turtao API so we can determine update eligibility. We do not collect post content during update checks.
