Publer is cheap. Why pay more up front for Turtao?
Because the meter never stops. A $30 a month Publer setup costs about $360 a year, every year. Turtao's $129 covers the app outright, with a year of updates included and the version you own working indefinitely.
Does my Mac need to be on for scheduled posts?
Yes. Turtao publishes from your Mac, so it needs to be on and the app running at the scheduled time. Cloud schedulers publish from their servers instead. That is the main trade for keeping your accounts and data on your own machine.
Does Turtao include AI writing features?
Turtao does not sell AI credits or bundle a writing assistant. Instead it exposes an MCP connection, so the AI tools you already use (Claude Code, Hermes Agent, Grok CLI, and other MCP-capable apps) can read your projects, draft posts, schedule them, and check results.
